Pretty Bamboo Orchid Plant
Bamboo orchid is a kind of orchid species and the main soul of genus Arundina. Usually, bamboo orchids are the sublunary multiperennial orchid nurtured with hard stems shaping into huge clumps with a height of approximately 70cm to 2m. These tropic bamboo orchids are mainly found in Thailand, Nepal, Singapore, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia and, transversely in the Pacific islands. Primarily, it has acquainted in Panama, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. Their braided elongate leaves are quadrilateral lanceolate with a length of between 9 cm - 19 cm and width of 0.8 to 1.5 cm. The apex of bamboo orchid is very acuminate and there are stipules of amplexicaul sheathing, which holds the stem tightly.
The other variety includes sobralia, which can grow even with a tiny amount of direct sunlight. This kind of bamboo orchid plant does not grow very tall. However, typically grows up to 4 feet with a temperature range of 40 degrees to 80 degrees. Usually, bamboo orchid plants do not grow very much in cool climates of North Central and Northeast states. Taking care of bamboo orchid plants is similar to nurturing any other living being. In order to have perfect bamboo plants, there are certain essential things which need to be provided such as, a good amount of water, food and space. Some bamboo orchid plants such as lucky bamboo requires little care, while ornamental bamboo orchid requires more care.
