Pretty Bamboo Orchid Plant

Typically, bamboo orchid blossoms in autumn and summer, showing bunches of flashy terminal flowers. These bamboo flowers are in a diameter of 5 to 8 cm and are in charismatic pink lilac and white platter with violet lips. The bracts of bamboo leaves are very wide and it surrounds the main stem of bamboo flower cluster. The inseminated seed pods have minute powdered seeds and a tiny plant, which often flourishes close to the canes end and it likely helps in the propagation of the plants.

 

 

The two major popular bamboo orchids in the USA are Ornamental bamboo orchid and lucky bamboo orchid. Typically, Ornamental bamboos are not appropriate for most of the homes and offices, because they can dig up pretty large when they grow-up. These bamboos orchid plants are more particular with respect to their growing stipulations such as, they require planting outdoors where the temperature is always above 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Moreover, several variants of these plants require planting in those areas, where the temperature never falls below freezing point. The other kinds of bamboo orchid plants are lucky bamboo, which is a contrary nature to ornamental bamboo. It is best suitable for homes as well as offices, as they don’t take very large space for flourishing. The pre-requisites of lucky bamboos are just a mug of water and ample of sunlight.

 

The other variety includes sobralia, which can grow even with a tiny amount of direct sunlight. This kind of bamboo orchid plant does not grow very tall. However, typically grows up to 4 feet with a temperature range of 40 degrees to 80 degrees. Usually, bamboo orchid plants do not grow very much in cool climates of North Central and Northeast states. Taking care of bamboo orchid plants is similar to nurturing any other living being. In order to have perfect bamboo plants, there are certain essential things which need to be provided such as, a good amount of water, food and space. Some bamboo orchid plants such as lucky bamboo requires little care, while ornamental bamboo orchid requires more care.
